If you’ve been melting in the recent East Coast heatwave like we have here in Pennsylvania, you’re probably fantasizing about snowflakes, cozy sweaters, and steaming mugs of hot cocoa.
Let’s be real—this kind of heat is not our thing!
So why not bring a little winter magic into your classroom with a festive Christmas in July celebration?
Whether you’re teaching CNA, PCT, or Health Science students this summer (or even gearing up for August), these fun and FREE lessons are a great way to beat the heat and boost engagement.
1. Unwrap the Question Game

This one’s a hit!
Just print out some multiple-choice questions from your current unit, cut them into individual slips, and wrap them in red, green, or white tissue paper—no need for fancy wrapping, just a quick twist will do.
Turn on some holiday tunes and pass the “gifts” around the classroom. When the music stops, the student holding a gift opens it and answers the question inside.
Pro tip: Make it a team competition for extra excitement!
2. “Build Your Snowman” Body Systems Review
This fun review game is already waiting for you in the Free Resource Library!
Students earn snowman parts by correctly answering questions about the body systems.
The first team to complete their snowman wins—but really, everyone wins when learning is this much fun.
This activity is perfect for visual learners, super easy to prep, and adds just the right amount of friendly competition.

3. “Stuff the Stocking” Infection Control Game
Need a quick but effective refresher on the Chain of Infection?
This free game is a student favorite!
All you need to do is print out the paper stockings and question cards.
Students answer review questions to earn the correct “links” in the chain and stuff their stockings with the right answers.
It’s low-prep, high-impact, and a great way to reinforce key infection control concepts.
